Seminar on “Islam, Science and Contemporary Muslims”

held at Government High School Abdul Hakim Teh: Kabirwala, District: Khanewal  April 25, 2012

A seminar on the above subject was held in collaboration with IRD and Government High School Abdul Hakim on 25th April, 2012 from 10:00AM to 12:30PM. Local religious Scholars, educationists and social leaders participated in the Seminar.

The speakers explained the verses of the Quran which invite towards study of universe, nature and physical world. They stated that knowledge does not confine to theology and philosophy only. It rather includes knowledge of natural sciences and social sciences. The Muslims were the pioneers of inductive intellect and they opened the avenues of science to the rest of the world. But in the present era the Muslims are backward in Science and Technology. They are therefore weaker and financially poorer and do not compete the western nations.
